Installation & use notes
For indoor routes (trays, risers, conduits, ducts). For direct burial or high-mechanical protection, specify armoured variants.
Observe current-carrying capacity, grouping, ambient temperature, and voltage-drop limits from your consultant’s design.
LSZH sheaths recommended where low smoke is required (public/escape routes), if specified.

What are Low Voltage Cables?
LV power cables distribute electricity from main switchboards to sub-mains, risers, and final distribution boards. Golden Hills Co supplies unarmoured CU/PVC/PVC constructions for indoor routes in conduits, trays, and ducts, sized to your load schedule and installation method. Armoured or XLPE variants can be provided on request if specified.
Typical applications: Building mains & sub-mains, risers, plant rooms, MCCs, lifts/escalators plant, packaged equipment feeds, and essential/UPS circuits (per spec).
Product variants
2-Core CU/PVC/PVC — 0.6/1 kV
For single-phase feeders and equipment supplies; Class-2 copper, PVC insulation & sheath.
Use for: small plant, lighting mains, packaged equipment.
3-Core CU/PVC/PVC — 0.6/1 kV
Three-phase without neutral (or with separate neutral/earth as designed); robust building distribution cable.
Use for: motors, pumps, and general three-phase loads.
4-Core CU/PVC/PVC — 0.6/1 kV
Three-phase with full-size neutral; standard choice for boards and risers.
Use for: mains/sub-mains to DBs and panels.
4-Core with Reduced Neutral (3.5-Core) (on request)
Three full-size phase conductors + reduced neutral per spec.
Use for: engineered designs permitting reduced neutral.
Key Qualities
- Built to spec — Manufactured to relevant IEC/BS/UL requirements; routine in-house tests supplied with orders.
- Installer-friendly — Consistent color coding or numbered cores, clear print legends, tidy sheathing.
- Sized to your loads — Cross-sections from 2.5–240 mm² typical (larger on request) with guidance on installation methods.
- Program certainty — Typical 2–4 week lead times, pre-cut lengths, and labelled drums per floor/zone.
- Traceability — Batch numbers, meter marks (where applicable), and documentation for quick approvals.
Use 4-core where a full-size neutral is required; 3-core suits three-phase loads with separate neutral/earth arrangements per design.
Use 4-core where a full-size neutral is required; 3-core suits three-phase loads with separate neutral/earth arrangements per design.
Do you offer armoured or XLPE?
Yes—armoured and/or XLPE-insulated variants are available on request when specified in the project documents.
Colors or numbered cores?
Both. Color-coded is common for smaller core counts; numbered simplifies tracing on higher core counts.
